( ½ Rice & ½ Fries, Chicken and Sauce )
(Rice and Sauce)
Cheap and good! We came for a quick bite and enjoyed the meats, flavorful falafel and low prices. The chicken schwarma platter had fresh salad, rice and quarter of a boiled potato and some very tender, mildly spiced chicken. It was I believe $8 for a very nice sized meal. Not a ton of protein, but enough food, for sure.
The falafels were small balls, but delicious and not dry! We ended up with an order of ShaQ fries which were nicely fried fries topped with feta crumbles, jalapeño, sauce and chicken schwarma; a middle eastern style poutine. It was great. A huge order, so don't go at it alone, but a great to share amongst 4 people.
The pita was fine, the sauces were decent and a nice amount food for the value. They had some keto option wraps for those on a diet and my coworkers enjoyed their gyro. The owner/manager was really nice, plenty of parking in this fast casual spot.
For the price and portion, ShaQ is hard to beat. Four of us rolled through for an early dinner and feasted. I'm talking chicken schwarma, gyro platters, a side of falafels, and ShaQ fries--all for like 50 bones.
I had the gyro platter and it was served with a salad, rice, hummus, pita, and a big chunk of what I think was a boiled potato. Decent little pile of gyro meat. Solid selection of different sauces, from cool tzatziki to a spicy house sauce. I'm a big sauce guy so this was a nice touch.
We shared the ShaQ Fries, and they were a delicious mess. Fries themselves were of the slightly battered and deep fried so they retained their crisp despite being covered in all sorts of toppings. I'll be back. For sure.
I will give this place a 4. Courteous people who will keep their shop open for an additional 10-15 minutes, if you call up and request. Try their Chicken Shawarma wraps and rice plates. Both are great. Their butter chicken shawarma wrap was quite okay!
This is my go to spot whenever I'm craving Mediterranean food! The half & half plate is what I ordered with a combination of lamb & chicken. Both have amazing flavor and substantial amount to get you filled by the time you leave !
I found this new place and I already eat here twice, they have great food, nice service and very clean place. I have to say I tried a lot of shawarmas but this place is the best, no one can beat their shawarma salad, plus it's Halal!
I was picking up a large order for a company lunch and I can definitely conclude that 25 people were all very satisfied with the foods. On top of the food being great, the cashier also made sure all the orders are in tact and helped to bring out all the food to my car.
Halal meat is served here per signs on restaurant. Owners are Muslim. Had the chicken shawarma dinner plate which comes with rice with potato (very good) and the sauces were very creamy and tasty (also good). Food is a mix of Indian and Turkish. Will definitely come back to try the other menu items. Clean interior with booth seating. Fast and friendly service.
This is a wonderful little restaurant. The space is clean and inviting, the service is friendly and informative, and most of all the food is absolutely delicious.
I've tried nearly everything but my favorite has to be the Beef Moussaka which they only have on special from time to time. So I always try to get it if I see it.
The Butter Chicken Shawarma is my other go to favorite, and I like the platter option. Also their veggies are always fresh in my experience, a little attention to detail that makes all the difference.
ShaQ is well worth a visit in my opinion.
Polite staff. Quiet (7pm Thursday). Really tasty food! If you're driving here, don't use Apple Maps. It'll take you to the rear property entrance (you'll see what I mean). This place is in an automotive repair industrial park, so if you go that route you might think you're in the wrong place.
The mens' room is clean and smells good. On the other hand, a restroom that is poorly maintained makes you wonder what other areas a restaurant is overlooking.
Plus Groupon cash back?!?
If I could give this 6 stars for a reasonable cost counter service restaurant I would.
Usually I go to Drive-In Felafel, San Jose.
New place. Not busy and clean.
The tasty is good too.
This is one of the best go to place for middle eastern food. Place looks decent and clean. We ordered Greek salad and butter chicken special. Food was very taste and good quantity.
Friendly staff and good service.
